The award winning Chester Consultants team has a depth of experience and expertise in delivering survey and engineering services within the land development and infrastructure space.We complete and manage projects across a wide scope of market sectors, including private residential, property development, commercial, industrial, educational, institutional, and government.

Are you ready to?

  • Undertake field/cadastral surveying including topographical surveys, land transfer, height to boundary and house / civil work set-outs
  • Complete survey processing and calculations
  • LINZ / council searches

You will need:

  • Relevant Surveying qualification – BSurv or National Diploma in Surveying or equivalent
  • Strong Surveyor experience with 2 plus years working in NZ Land Development
  • Good working knowledge of surveying equipment (Leica), eg Robotic Total Stations, GPS
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work efficiently, managing your time and client deadlines with ease
  • Professional and confident interaction with clients and colleagues
  • Full driver’s licence and able to drive manual vehicles
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions with a good level of fitness and strength
  • Strong verbal English communication skills required

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A background in structural drafting working for a structural engineering consultancy in NZ
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in CAD drafting using Revit
  • Strong experience in residential projects but also enjoy working across a broad range of sectors
  • An eye for detail and a desire to consistently produce accurate drawings
  • Experience in structural detailing of Concrete, Timber, Steel and Concrete Masonry
