Paul leads multi-disciplinary project delivery teams, and carries vision and leadership for the wider Chester team. His strengths lie in catalysing individuals and teams to produce excellent outcomes – at times instigating novel approaches to problem solving, and other times bringing stability and practical go-forward to challenging circumstances.

These traits were demonstrated when Paul was involved in the response and recovery efforts after the large Christchurch earthquake in 2011. He worked alongside various contractors and demolition crews to assist owners, tenants and business retrieve their property before their building was demolished. The role demanded, clear, effective, and sensitive communication to achieve positive outcomes for people in the face of adversity.

One of Paul’s core beliefs is that honesty is the key to an easy life. His leadership is open, transparent, and willing to face tough issues head-on.

To unwind, Paul likes to spend time taking care of his garden, or walking his dog.
