Construction

Resolving passive fire protection detailing on-site is usually a time-consuming and costly exercise and should be avoided, if at all possible.

We believe a firetight building is built by a team made up of the contractor, the architect, the building inspector, and the fire engineer. We monitor the construction and installation process against the consented documents, providing additional support to the team. During construction, we will review the contractor’s incremental as-built documentation to ensure that it is complete and can be used to easily find, and understand, every fire-stopping installation. As-built documentation is essential for the ongoing maintenance of the fire tightness of the building particularly when services are altered in the future.
