We now have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced cadastral surveyor to join our developing team.

Our surveyors are an integral part of our Land Development and Infrastructure team, working collaboratively in the delivery of survey and engineering services across a wide scope of market sectors.

Chester is committed to supporting you through your next career growth and development steps – do you want mentoring and support as you work towards Cadastral Licensing or building on your existing Land Development and Infrastructure surveying expertise?

You will already be at a level where you can confidently:

  • Undertake field/cadastral surveying including topographical surveys, land transfer, height to boundary and house / civil work set-outs etc.
  • Complete survey processing and calculations
  • Complete LINZ / council searches


Some of the basics you will already have in your portfolio include:

  • Relevant surveying qualification – BSurv or National Diploma in Surveying or equivalent
  • Strong surveyor experience
  • Experience working on projects both independently and within the support team
  • Good working knowledge of surveying equipment (Leica), eg Robotic Total Stations, GPS
  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage scheduling timelines
  • Professional and confident engagement with clients, contractors and colleagues
  • Full driver’s licence and able to drive manual vehicles
